At The Sanctuary we understand that life circumstances can change. We are sure that deciding to surrender your animal has been difficult.

You, your circumstances or your reason for surrendering your animal(s) will never be judged by us. We are here to help your animal find their forever home. The information you provide us on this form will help us place your animal both into their temporary foster home and their perfect forever home. Please note that our volunteers are incredibly busy and as much as we would like to help everyone, you may only hear back from us if we have space for your animal(s).

By submitting this form you understand and agree to the following terms...

1. By surrendering an animal to The Sanctuary you relinquish all ownership and custody of the surrendered animal.

2. Once a surrender has been made there is no possibility to reclaim the animal.

3. If an animal is microchipped this must be transferred to The Sanctuary upon surrendering.

4. Every animal surrendered to The Sanctuary requires a Surrender Fee to be paid to assist with the initial and ongoing care associated with the animal. The Surrender Fees listed below are a guide only as of July 2025 and are subject to change.

Fish $5 - Rodents $10 - Poultry $10 - Guinea Pigs $15 - Rabbits $30

Reptiles from $30 - Amphibians from $30 - Other animals by negotiation.

Should the surrender fee be a barrier please contact The Sanctuary directly to discuss your needs.

5. The Sanctuary agrees to do all things possible but offers no guarantee in regards to the adoption of your surrendered animal.

6. In some cases, if an animal has severe medical or behavioral issues, euthanasia may be considered as a last resort.
